Why Are the USAT National Ranking Scores Lower This Year for Women?

Women are noticing their USAT scores are lower this year, despite improving. We figured it out. Last year they got the score from ranking you against women only. Now they're scoring women against men on the same formula. So your scoring less than last year but in the end your score will be more accurate because it's being compared to more people. Really, the score is irrelevant, it's the ranking that counts. But, it's kind of annoying as a year to year comparison.
