The squad has a year round 6am track workout on Tuesdays and for more than half the year it's in the dark. So a headlamp is an essential item. In the past I'd put up with a regular Petzl headlamp. It did the job but wearing it running was a bulky option that jiggled around on the head. The Knog Bandicoot Run 250 solves that problem and is it's main advantage. It fits snuggly around the head like a regular headband and is as lightweight as a headlamp could possibly be. It has an easy plug and play USB charge mechanism and various light intensities and a red color option. It probably doesn't throw the biggest light down as compared to what else is on the market but well enough to stop you tripping in the dark which is the main mission.
