Why triathlon?

"After my first triathlon I was hooked. For me this sport is the perfect confluence of the grit and determination required in adulthood, combined with the joy and playfulness of childhood. Remember running barefoot over hot sand, as fast as your feet could carry you, before jumping into the ocean? Or climbing the biggest hill in your neighborhood just so you could bomb down it on your bike? Yeah, being a triathlete is kind of like that. We work hard, have excellent time management skills and tons of drive, but at our core we’re just a bunch of big, goofy kids doing what we love."
