TCMTriSquad National Youth Triathlon Team
The benefits for our 13-18 age athletes are comparable to the adult team. There is a dedicated Slack channel for parents to get information on racing from our coaching staff and access to most of the coach-led group training sessions held at least monthly in the Santa Cruz / San Francisco Bay Area. Our members also get a free 12-month USA Triathlon Youth Membership.

Team Community
On signing with us you receive our custom TCMTriSquad Jakroo Triathlon Race Suit ($262 value) and podium t-shirt. You get access to our Slack online forum where members get advice from our experienced triathlon coaches and organize to train and race together.
Group Training
Details of the group training options are shared in a weekly email. There is an in-person weekly Tuesday track run (Santa Cruz and Campbell) and virtual indoor bike Zwift sessions every Thursday and scheduled coached monthly workouts in the Santa Cruz/San Francisco Bay Area and regular educational team meetings. The training is coordinated by the team's two experienced triathlon coaches.
Racing
TCMTriSquad is a professionally run age group triathlon team. Beginners are welcome, in fact, the majority of our new members are new to the sport. Our athletes are expected to wear the team kit to races and register under our team name. We are an official Ironman and USA Triathlon club. Athletes are free to race wherever they choose but we have identified a number of target races where there is likely to be a big group of us racing and encouraging each other. We support our athletes racing by helping coordinate transportation and accommodation, a squad tent to meet-up, course previews, an Ironman Points Rewards competition ($1,000 prize pool) and incentives to compete at National and World championships.
Product and Event Discounts
Every member of our squad is a sponsored athlete and gets a blanket 25% off everything on our triathlon store. We have negotiated entry fee discounts with many triathlons.
Triathlon Coaching
Members can take advantage of a 25% discount on our in-person coaching services (one-off consultations, swim video analysis and open water swim lessons). Members can also hire squad coaches, Martin or Gunnar for personalized 1:1 triathlon coaching.
1:1 Youth Triathlon Coaching
For kids who want triathlon to be their sport or receive extra guidance, Martin offers a special individualized coaching service:
- Online training and feedback (including summer training) delivered through Training Peaks software similar to the adult coaching service.
- Race and equipment planning, strategy and selection.
- Help managing and coordinating single sport and school sport obligations and trainings into a triathlon program.
- College recruiting guidance.
