Why triathlon?

"I have always been interested in trying to push my body and most importantly mind to the next level. Being around fitness most of my life I started wondering about triathletes and how they tackle some of the most grueling races on the planet. I wanted to know what made these guys different. So I went and watched the Ironman Santa Cruz 70.3 from start to finish and I saw something different in those athletes I have not seen in other sports. The next day I hired a coach and jumped in. Since joining hands down my favorite part of the sport is the training and being around others that put in the hours too. It feels like I have found a sport that finally fits people like me that want to put in the hours for the sake of loving the work. There are no shortcuts in this sport and I love that."
