Coach Martin did an amazing job helping me feel comfortable with my first open water swim, and boosted my confidence for doing more. I had been swimming in the pool for ~2 years and wanted to try open water in prep for the Santa Cruz Roughwater. I approached this first swim thinking we would swim out to a buoy, which we did, and Coach Martin encouraged me to go all the way around the wharf. He provided tips and guidance along the way. What an incredible first swim in the ocean!!
